Happy April!
My birthday is coming up in 11 days so I am EXCITED!!!
Books!
My TBR Shelf has gotten significantly smaller due to down the TBR Hole, however I added 56 books in March alone(😔) but they were all worth it!!! Some highlights include:
It didn't feel like I got much reading in during the month of MArch, but I actually read ___ books, putting me well over half my 2019 goal in just the first quarter! My absolute favorite was A Prince By Another by Alyssa Cole (Coming to bookstores on April 30th!!! and review coming soon). I'm loving her writing right now and looking forward to reading more durring Spring Break!
I have all but stopped my ReadHarder Challenge, mainly because (i thought) I didn't have much time to read this month. Planning on fixing that with Spring Break coming up. I've also fallen a bit behind with my Early Review books, so i'll do some prioritizing them as well.
For the month of April, my goal is to read 6 books, since I have Spring Break and all that free time on my hands.
Currently I'm reading Angry Black Girl by Elexus Jionde and its Brilliant! I'll most likely write a post at some point when I finish. I'm also reading
Beauty!
We're at the tail end of Ulta's 21 days of Beauty and I have to say this was a pretty unexciting year. I got a couple things, but the products weren't as exciting as they were in recent years. I finally bought Urban Decay's Half Baked (along with 4 other colors, 3 of which i'm returning...), the Smashbox Primerizer, and stocked up on my holy grail Becca Backlight primer. I also ordered the MAC Cherry Blossom Fix+(Because I love cherry blossoms and it was limited edition ok?) as well as the Gold Set. The only thinkg I was instrested in that I missed was the Ulta Glowy Skin Primer Serum, because even at over 50% I couldn't bring myself to buy another primer or face serum. I know, I have a problem. My FabFitFun box came in with a ton of stuff, including my Murad Invisiblur so I'm almost to my goal of backing up all my holy grails on sale.
Fenty relaunched Body Lava and added a new shade so bought the Brown Sugar I missed out on last year as well as the new Trophy Wife. Who Needs Clothes is nice but doesn't give me the oomph! I'm looking for, wo it will proably be decluttered this summer. But for now I have all 3 so I might take some pretty pictures and write a review/comparison with some of my other glow products.
Lifestyle!
Not many updates in this category. I'm still in love with my Joy Mangano Luggage, and used it for several trips this month. The Kate Spade Surprise sale snuck up on me, but I didn't see anything on my to-buy list on sale so I didn't buy anything(You kow what that is? Growth!). I went to dance an embarrisingly love number of times in March, and have yet to go in April so my goal is to go at lease 3 times a week for the rest of April.
Keto was a huge fail. I need to figure out why low carb has me SO HUNGRY all the time or I'm not going to make it! Bought my first trench coat and I am in LOVE! Discovered 2 new podcasts:___.
How about you, How was your month?
